About Me

           My name is Araceli Sánchez and I am a student at New York University, double majoring in Journalism and Cinema Studies with a minor in Creative Writing.

           I am fascinated by the intersection of society and film as well as the influence of the social and political climate on popular media. I am also interested in the collision of journalism and cinema studies and how they affect each other.

           As a member of a diverse Cuban-American family, I have always been inspired by the stories and experiences of immigrants as well as their impact on music, film and TV, and popular culture.

            Growing up in Miami, I was introduced to many different cultures and lifestyles and I became interested in all the complex differences between them, a fascination I continue to explore.

           I hope to effectively and creatively share stories that are important to me.
